Lord Jagannatha Parivar Rath Yatra is one of the famous Chariot festivals celebrated in Puri, Odisha in India and internationally in many cities.
Innumerable devotees from various cities, places gather to celebrate this festival and seek the blessings of Mahaprabhu Jagannatha. The Ratha Yatra is also termed as Shri Gundicha Yatra. During this annual Rath Yatra, the Lord comes out of his residence/temple to be with every one of his devotees, beyond the gender, caste, religion, and age.
Since there is always a huge crowd, so don’t be disheartened if you ever don’t get chance to be on/near his chariot. Lord Jagannatha has no boundaries, Wherever you may be, near or far, the Lord sees you and your bhakti (devotion).

Few of the interesting facts that we all need to know about Lord Jagannatha Parivaar Rath Yatra festival.
Ratha means chariot and Yatra means procession. The Chariot Festival means, the ceremonial removal and procession of Mahaprabhu Jagannatha Parivaar from their temple, to their aunt’s home i.e the Gundicha temple. Lord Jagannatha meaning the Lord of the Universe. He is accompanied by His elder brother, Lord Balabhadra (Balarama), and His younger sister, Maa Subhadra Devi (Su – auspicious and bhadra -well-being).
The Yatra festival is celebrated in a grand way with great splendour amidst a large number of devotees. The chariot construction starts on the auspicious Akshaya Trutiya day.
